This parkland course is located in an extremely convenient and peaceful location only 2 miles north of the York Ring Road, yet it lies amidst attractive countryside in the heart of the Forest of Galtres from which it takes its name.

Next door to our campsite is a unique 9 hole 'foot-golf' course. This sports centre is also equipped with a bar, cafe and pool table. 

There is a 5km riverside walk or cycle into the center of york. 

Frequent busses from Skelton to York city centre. 

York's Park & Ride services allow you to travel to York by car, park for free in secure car parks* and complete your journey into the city centre by bus.
